Job description

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who will help us:

  • Build robust integrations with grid operators and metering companies,

  • Develop a future-proof simulation infrastructure, and

  • Ensure reliable control of flexible energy capacity.

Beyond development, you’ll contribute to a scalable way of working and a healthy engineering culture. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues in Delft; we work hybrid, and every Friday the team gathers in Utrecht.

Job requirements

  • Design, build, and maintain integrations and communication protocols.

  • Develop (data) simulation services for analysis and scenario studies.

  • Design and implement control logic for flexibility management.

  • Contribute to architecture, reliability, security, and scalability.

  • Share knowledge through code reviews, pairing, and (if you’d like) mentoring.

What you will bring:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.

  • Experience with Python, SQL, Git, and a web framework (e.g., Django or FastAPI).

  • Ability to design simple, testable solutions.

  • Strong command of English, spoken and written.
