Job description

Eddy Grid is growing. After our successful development in the Netherlands, we are now taking the next step: building and rolling out our commercial activities in Flanders. For this reason, we are looking for a Business Development Manager for Belgium. Someone who is entrepreneurial, pragmatic, and energized by opening new markets and closing deals.

Your role

As Business Development Manager, you will be the first commercial pillar of Eddy Grid in Belgium. You'll build our presence in Flanders from scratch, no ready-made playbook, but a strong product, a proven model from the Netherlands, and an ambitious team behind you.

You'll close new client contracts for both our smart optimisation of flexible assets (solar, wind, battery storage) and energy supply. You'll build a local partner network, spot market developments, and translate them into concrete opportunities. You'll report directly to our CCO in the Netherlands and work closely with the Dutch team.

What are you going to do?

  • Identify and approach potential B2B clients in Flanders

  • Close contracts for energy supply and flexibility services

  • Build and maintain a local partner network in the energy sector

  • Translate Belgian market developments into commercial opportunities

  • Report on commercial performance and adjust where needed

  • After proven success in Flanders: potential expansion into Wallonia and Brussels

Job requirements

What do you bring to the table?

  • At least 5 years of B2B sales experience in Belgium, preferably in Flanders

  • Demonstrable experience in the energy, utilities, or industrial sector, ideally with existing relationships in this network

  • A proven track record of winning new clients (hunter profile)

  • Analytically strong, strategic, and commercially sharp

  • Able to explain complex topics simply and genuinely create value for clients

  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English

  • Pragmatic and hands-on, you'll travel to clients across Flanders and get things done

Onboarding & first months

You'll start with an intensive introduction period at our team in the Netherlands to get to know the product, processes, and existing client relationships. You'll then operate independently in Flanders, with clear targets for the first 6 months and regular check-ins with the CCO.
